CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEW PMP®! 

 PMI Mongolia Chapter proudly congratulates our valued member, Altantuya Altankhuyag, on successfully earning the globally recognized Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Altantuya brings more than 12 years of professional experience across a diverse range of industries, including mining, laboratory operations, petroleum, construction materials, and commercial trade. Her broad industry exposure has enabled her to develop a unique combination of technical expertise, operational insight, and business acumen.
She holds an academic background in Biotechnology and further advanced her studies at Seoul National University in the Republic of Korea, specializing in energy resources. Her strong scientific foundation has shaped her analytical approach to problem-solving, decision-making, and managing complex operational environments across multiple sectors.
During the early stages of her career, Altantuya worked within the permitting and compliance division of a major mining project, where she was responsible for coordinating regulatory approvals, managing licensing requirements, supporting technical commission inspections, and handling documentation for international due diligence reviews. She later transitioned into laboratory operations, where she represented the coal quality department in a company-wide integrated management standards implementation initiative and further expanded her technical and management expertise.
Beyond her technical experience, Altantuya has successfully led business operations focused on industrial supply and key account management. Her responsibilities have included international sourcing and procurement, supplier negotiations, cross-border logistics coordination, warehousing management, market introduction strategies, brand development, and team leadership. Through these experiences, she has demonstrated strong capabilities in stakeholder engagement, operational management, and business development.
Environmental sustainability has remained a central theme throughout her professional journey. From supporting the implementation of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems within mining operations to promoting environmentally responsible products in the construction materials sector, she has consistently sought opportunities to create positive and sustainable impact.
In addition, her volunteer work with the UN-REDD Programme provided valuable insights into Mongolia’s environmental challenges and natural ecosystems. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Environmental Economics at the University of Finance and Economics, further reinforcing her commitment to sustainable development.
By attaining the PMP® certification, Altantuya has further enhanced her ability to lead projects with structure, professionalism, and strategic focus.
