CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEW PMP®!

We are proud to celebrate the achievement of Khulan Guntevsuren, a valued member of the PMI Mongolia Chapter, who has successfully earned the globally recognized Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification issued by the Project Management Institute.

Khulan Guntevsuren is an Urban Planning and Transportation/Civil Engineer specializing in integrated transportation networks and infrastructure systems. She holds engineering degrees from Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan and, Mongolian University of Science and Technology, and is fluent in Japanese and English, bringing cross-cultural communication skills to multinational project environments.

Khulan G. currently serves as an Urban Planning and Transportation Engineer at the Integrated Project Management Office (IPMO) of Ulaanbaatar City, where she works on the analysis, planning, and coordination of the city’s major infrastructure and transportation initiatives. Her work focuses on transportation network modeling and scenario analysis using PTV VISUM, supporting evidence-based decision-making on transportation demand and network performance, while enhancing project coordination and delivery through the practical application of PMBOK®-based project management practices.

Prior to joining IPMO, Khulan G. worked as a Project Engineer at GIP LLC, contributing to complex mining projects at Oyu Tolgoiincluding the Mine Ventilation and Pump Station Relocation Project. In this role, she managed complex technical interfaces, supported improvements in operational efficiency, and ensured compliance with engineering, construction, and safety standards.

The attainment of the PMP® certification reflects Khulan’s commitment to professional excellence, leadership development, and global best practices in project delivery. She combines technical expertise with strong leadership skills, inspiring emerging professionals engaged in Mongolia’s urban development and infrastructure projects. Khulan G. approaches engineering and project management with collaboration and adaptability, and values continuous self-improvement through lifelong learning, language development, and sports.
