Congratulations to Munkhzaya Batbaatar (PMP®)!

This time, we proudly highlight the achievement of Dr. Munkhzaya Batbaatar, an esteemed member of the PMI Mongolia Chapter, who has successfully earned the globally recognized Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification issued by the Project Management Institute.

In 2013, Munkhzaya B. earned her Doctorate in Business Administration with a dissertation titled “Methodology for Improving Risk Management in Commercial Banks During Financial Crises.”

From 2019 to 2021, she was awarded an Australia Awards Scholarship and completed her Master’s degree in Banking and Finance at Monash University, Australia. With over 20 years of experience, she is a seasoned professional specializing in finance and risk management.

She currently serves as the Vice President for Undergraduate Studies and Research at the University of Finance and Economics (UFE) of Mongolia. In 2025, she was appointed by the Parliament of Mongolia as an independent member of the Monetary Policy Committee at the Central Bank of Mongolia.

Alongside her academic career, Dr. Munkhzaya has worked as a consultant and advisor to numerous national and international organizations. Her areas of focus include financial governance, risk management, compliance, and public policy development, contributing to research initiatives, short-term training programs, and the drafting of policy documents.

Most recently, in 2025, she served as the lead consultant on a government project to develop a risk management policy for public sector organizations, including implementation guidelines and a methodology for assessing the maturity levels of institutional risk frameworks.

Her dedication, thought leadership, and impactful contributions to both academia and the public policy sector continue to inspire us.
