PMO & PROJECT TOUR at Huawei Mongolia – 22 APRIL 2026

PMI Mongolia Chapter successfully organized a PMO & Project Tour for its members at the Huawei Mongolia Office, bringing together project professionals for an engaging and insightful learning experience.
The tour commenced with a warm welcome and opening remarks by Mr. Ni Kui, Multi Country Enterprise Partner Director, followed by a comprehensive overview of Huawei Mongolia presented by Ms. Saikhansuvd Battsengel, Channel Manager. Participants were then introduced to Huawei’s Enterprise Business Portfolio by Mr. Pan Ming, Enterprise Solution Director, highlighting the company’s integrated approach to digital transformation and enterprise solutions.
A key highlight of the session was the presentation on the “MAK Project: Micro-grid for Green Strategy” by Mr. Altangerel Battumur, Digital Power Solution Team Lead. The session demonstrated how innovative energy solutions and micro-grid technologies are supporting sustainable development and green transformation initiatives in Mongolia.

With over 20 years of presence in the country, Huawei has played a vital role in developing core telecommunications infrastructure, including the deployment of 3G, 4G, and ongoing 5G networks, enabling connectivity for millions nationwide. The company continues to drive digital transformation across industries while strengthening national infrastructure.
As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, Huawei Technologies LLC implements the Seeds for the Future program, which provides advanced ICT knowledge and training. Each year, 10 students are selected and engaged in this program from Mongolia.
In addition, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of Mongolia, Huawei Technologies LLC is implementing the “Developing 1,000 Engineers in Mongolia” program. This initiative aims to build a strong ICT ecosystem by developing young talent and enhancing professional skills. Under this program, Huawei has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with three universities in Mongolia and has already enrolled 700 students into the program.
During the tour, Huawei’s strong focus on innovation and R&D was also emphasized. The company invests more than 20% of its annual revenue into research and development, reaching CNY 192.3 billion in 2025, and holds over 165,000 active patents globally. Its commitment to open innovation, collaboration with industry and academia, and its “AI-first” approach in the intelligent era positions Huawei as a global technology leader.
The session also highlighted Huawei’s industry-specific innovations, particularly in intelligent mining. By integrating technologies such as remote operations, autonomous driving, cloud computing, and 5G, Huawei is helping address key challenges in Mongolia’s mining sector—improving efficiency, enhancing safety, and supporting sustainable development.
The event concluded with a networking lunch, providing members the opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen professional connections.
