CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEW PMP®!

We are delighted to announce that Azzaya Ulambayar, an esteemed member of the PMI Mongolia Chapter, has successfully earned the globally recognized Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification, issued by the Project Management Institute.

Azzaya U. is a civil and environmental engineer who brings a thoughtful, people-centered approach to Ulaanbaatar’s urban development projects. She earned her engineering degree from Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan, and is fluent in both Japanese and English—enabling her to work confidently across multinational teams and complex project environments.

Her career journey began in 2022 at NBIK LLC as a Project Engineer on the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Project, where she contributed to the installation of one of the world’s largest mine ventilation systems. In this role, she supported construction coordination, multi-week material planning, and on-site engineering workflows—experience that built a strong foundation in technical problem-solving, field execution, and structured project delivery.

Since 2024, she has been working at Ulaanbaatar City’s Integrated Project Management Office (IPMO), contributing to several of the city’s major infrastructure initiatives. Her work focuses on project quality management, the practical application of PMBOK® principles, and supporting project teams to deliver with clarity, structure, and shared purpose.

Earning the PMP® certification at this stage of her career reflects Azzaya’s strong commitment to professional excellence, continuous learning, and global best practices in project management. As a young engineer, her dedication to strengthening both technical and managerial capabilities sets a positive example for emerging professionals working on Mongolia’s urban development and infrastructure transformation.

Beyond her professional role, Azzaya U. values creativity, music, and design—interests that enrich her balanced and empathetic approach to engineering, communication, and teamwork.
