2016 Conference Brief

Last year in October 7-8, PMI Mongolia Chapter organized its third annual conference with record breaking 400 participants and 38 national and international speakers making it the chapter's largest conference to date. In addition to the conference, the PMI Region 9 meeting was held in Mongolia following the conference. The theme “Best Practices in Project Management” focused on raising the question “Is Mongolia ready to absorb the foreign investments and do we have enough professional project managers to run the relative projects effectively”? This was an important and timely topic for Mongolia and other economies in the Asia-Pacific region as the global investment in the Asia-Pacific region has been increasing exponentially in the past decade and future trends are promising for the region.
